Lake

This week was something else. My friends Jaime and Sam were married over the weekend in a pasture with rolling hills and horses in the background. The reception was in a barn. The bride danced on a table, the groom climbed one of the barn ladders, jumped into our outstretched arms and crowd surfed. A friend surprised us all with a fireworks display. Imagine being called out into the cold for something "good" and forty of us huddled together for warmth, taking swigs from sparkling wine bottles. I only have a few photos from that. There were plenty of people taking pictures and I just wanted to be in the moment and not carry a camera.

However, at Jaime's bachelorette getaway on Wednesday and Thursday I took most of the photos. It was here, at a seculded mountain lake 25 miles outside of Boulder that is a complete jewel. Nine girls spent two days here and slept in a cabin on yummy feather beds. The week was inspiring - beautiful in so, so, so many ways. Nothing I'm writing is doing any of it justice, but I'm too tired to write now. Just wanted to leave you with this image. If you click on it, it'll take you to a few more on Flickr. I'll post more photos and thoughts of this week when my brain and heart aren't reeling from delight.
